He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Capell and Lillian Capell; and his siblings, Della Schaub and Darrell Capell. He is survived by: his wife Linda Newby Capell; his children, Robin McCormack (Mark), Dennis Scott Capell (Karen) and Junnie L. Capell (Crissy); his grandchildren, Travis McCormack (Jessica), Brandon McCormack (Krista), Alison McCormack, Joshua Capell, Savana Capell, Michelle Spencer (Cameron), Austin Capell, Jacob Cliborne (Gabrielle) and Macy Montgomery (DJ); his siblings, David Capell (Margo) and Donna Allen; his friends, Beverly "Bugsy" and Fairy Rose; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Newby and Carolyn Capell.
In order to protect the vulnerable and high-risk members of the community, it is highly recommended that face masks be worn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
