She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edward and Luegene Osborne Barnes; her siblings, Barbara Barnes, Lucille Puryear, Julie Barnes, Eveline B. Walker, Joe B. Barnes and Theodore S. Barnes; and her niece Dorothy D. Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Tosharo Barnes of Chase City, VA and Thomas J. Barnes of Chase City, VA; her grandchildren, Dhaakir Barnes of Cary, NC, Da'Quan Barnes of Chase City, VA and Nasir Baskerville of Boydton, VA; her siblings, Helen F. Woods of Hillside, NJ and William H. Barnes of Chase City, VA; and also Ann Pamplin.
