He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Bryant Whitlow and Nannie Conner Whitlow; his sisters, Helen Francis and Lada Oakley Tussy; and his son-in-law Gerald Clifton Robinette.
He is survived by: his wife Mary A. Whitlow; his children, Hugh "Bug" Whitlow, Jr. and Christy Robinette; his siblings, Jesse Whitlow and Katherine Robertson; and his grandchildren, Shannon Whitlow, Jamie Robinette, Michael Robinette and Kristin Whitlow. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
