He is survived by: his wife Edna Adkins; his children, Stephanie Roane and Steven Adkins Sr.; his sisters, Alease Chambers, Margerite Allen (William), Elizabeth Richardson (Archie) and Eloise Bethea; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Hickman of August, GA and Gail Greene (Stewart) of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
