He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Brewster Smith; his children, Lisa Marie Smith and Bobby Lee Smith; his grandchildren, Austin Smith Ward, T. J. Ward, Bobby Lee Smith, Jr., Keisha Smith, Kelly Smith and Sara Smith (K. C.); his great grandchildren, Christopher Woodard, Thomas Smith and Ariel Smith; and his siblings, Thelma Bernice Pruitt, Louvonne Davis (Garland), Charlotte Osborne (Jay), Morris Don Smith (Velma) and David Smith.
