He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Maxfield Ramsey; his children, Tera Gilbert of Gaffney, SC, April Wade (Chad) of Cedar Bluff, Virginia. and James C. Ramsey, Jr. (Chasity) of Swords Creek, Virginia; his sisters, Joyce Beavers (Robert) of Lodi and Karen Elswick (Donnie) of Lebanon, Virginia; his sister-in-law Patsy Ramsey (Virginia) of Abingdon; and his grandchildren, Madalyn Wade, Samuel Ramsey, Madison Ramsey, William Gilbert, Sierra Gilbert and Terran Gilbert.
