He was predeceased by: his parents, Doll Ray and Bessie Hess Ray; and his wife Yvonne Breeding Ray. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Ray of Davenport, Pamela Evans (Clinton) of Pounding Mill and Jennifer Elkins (David) of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandsons, Gavin and Sam Elkins; and his brother Ron Adkins (Becky). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
