She was predeceased by: her parents, William Holland Carr and Elsie Spivey Carr; her sister Elsie Duke; her brother-in-law Matthew Duke; her brother William "Bill" Carr, II; her siblings-in-law, Harry "Jack" Pettit, III and Margaret Carr; and her nephew William Holland Carr, III.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bobby" M. Butler, Sr.; her children, Wanda Futrell (Donnie) of Suffolk and Robert "Robbie" M. Butler, Jr. of Colosse; her granddaughter Dana Thompson (Gene); her great grandchild Grayson of Suffolk; her siblings, James "Jimmy" Carr of Windsor, John Carr (Mae) of Washington, NC and Frances Pettit of Suffolk; and her sister-in-law Patricia Carr of Zuni. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was an Elections Poll Worker for many years and only stopped due to the COVID pandemic.
