With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys Duck Cutchins Pope of Carrsville, Virginia, who passed away on September 27, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Harrison Duck and Hattie Odell Carr Duck; her former husband Raymond Edward Cutchins, Sr.; her husband Eldridge Thomas Pope, Sr.; her son Raymond Edward Cutchins, Jr.; her siblings, Mary Cutchins of Virginia and Benjamin Carr Duck; and her stepdaughter Jeane Brown.
She is survived by: her caregiver Margaret Cutchins-Darden; her stepchildren, Velna Griffin (Sydney) and E. T. Pope, Jr. (Ginger); her granddaughter Christine Byrum (Jeffrey); her great grandchildren, Heather, Ray and Abby; and her grandchildren, Jenny Cutchins, Robbie, Lewis, Wanda, Sharon, Brian, Greg and Christian. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Building Fund.
