He was predeceased by: his parent Clarence Vernon. He is survived by: his parent Eleanor Dobbins Young; his wife Lorraine Russell Young; his sons, William E. Young, Ronald S. Young, Edward A. Young and Robert V. Young; and his siblings, Lelia Bernard, Juanita Mullins, Freddie Young, Al Young and Robert Young. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
