She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Sarah Ella Looney (Looney); her former husband James Russell Thompson; and her siblings, Andy Looney, Patty Hunter, Harvey Looney, Cecil Looney, Hassie Looney, Mindy Fields, Arthur Looney, Ida Looney, Roy Loony, Gary Looney, Ralph Looney and Myrtle Wiley.
She is survived by: her children, Sarah Melissa Breeding (Brian) of Richmond, VA, Larissa Arlene Hunt (Patrick), Jennifer Elaine Stiles (Chris), Alisha Bethe Merritt (Walter) and Pinkie Kaye Looney; her grandchildren, Autumn Scott, Russell Henshaw, Caleb Shortt, James Nolan Hunt, Victoria Thacker, Michael Mitchell III, Vanessa Mitchell, Jena Huffman, Katelyn Nester, Melanie Lester and Jacob Lester; and her great grandchildren, Lillian Scott, Brooklyn Thacker, Easton Huffman and Colton Nester. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
