He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Viers and Lillie Maxie Viers; and his siblings, Henry Viers, Troy Viers and Anna Lee Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Viers (Keen) of Vansant, VA; his children, Pamela Susan Viers (Turner) of Vansant, VA, Ron Keith Viers Jr. of Cape Coral, FL and Michele Noel Viers Bentley (C. H. "Rocky") of Cape Coral, FL; his grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Turner (Sara), Whitney Leigh Turner Jenkins (Austin), Olivia Grace Bentley and Jacob Ethan Bentley; and his great grandchildren, Jessa Jane Turner and Joseph Keith Turner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
