He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Davis and Phyllis Davis (Baldwin); and his wife Nika Davis (Martin). He is survived by: his close friend Tina Rife of Slate Creek, VA; his children, Melissa Triplett (Jason) of Welch, WV, April Lafferty (Bryan) of Wyoming County, WV and Mark Anthony Davis Jr. of Tennessee; his stepchildren, Jamie Justus (Jeff), Christina Rife, Tasha Coleman (Brandon) and John Rife; his grandchildren, Zadian Davis, Adalyn Lafferty, Tanner Sparks and Kinsley Triplett; and his siblings, Kathy Jackson (Curtis) of Slate Creek, VA, Karen Horn (late Mickey) of Vansant, VA, Darryl Davis (Margaret) of Slate Creek, VA and Randy Davis (Michelle) of Slate Creek, VA.. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
