Clarence Edward Stiltner Obituary
CLARENCE EDWARD "ED" STILTNER, 79 years of age of the Stiltner's Creek section of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Gilmer and Lilly (Ramey) Stiltner. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Poplar Creek Church of Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a retired coal miner. Ed enjoyed fishing, flea marketing, gardening and ginsenging.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Edwina Carol Stiltner; Brothers: Ersel Douglas Stiltner, Mack Stiltner and Clifford Stiltner; Sister: Geneva Stiltner.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Hope (Adkins) Stiltner of Grundy, VA; 2-Daughters: Beverly Lynn (Jeff) Stumbo of Richmond, KY, Lona Stiltner of Lynn Camp, VA; 2-Sons: Eddie Harold (Angel) Stiltner of Bristol, VA, Alex Bryce Stiltner of Grundy, VA; Grandchildren: Megan (Heather) Addington, Paige (Jonathan) Stiltner, Joshua (Chelesa) Stiltner, Mason Stiltner, Madison Stiltner, Brialey Stainker and Braelynn Stainker; Great-Grandchildren: Rylan Stiltner, Parker Stiltner, Abel Skeens, Eden Skeens and one on the way, Everly Hazel Stiltner; Brothers: Hank (Rose Mary) Stiltner of Abingdon, VA, Ervin (Inga) Stiltner of Abingdon, VA; Sisters: Mervil Rowe of Abingdon, VA, Brenda (Donald) Ashby of Grundy, VA, Downeda (Jay) Wallace of Abingdon, VA.
Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with a song service at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for CLARENCE EDWARD "ED" STILTNER will be conducted Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Jim Edd Belcher officiating with entombment to follow at Mountain Rest Mausoleum, Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Surber and Men of Poplar Creek Church of Christ.
