He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Simmons Chapman; and his siblings, Linda Meade, Arval Chapman and Larry Chapman. He is survived by: his children, Joyce Pruitt (Joe) of Boydton, Kenneth Chapman (Janet) of Boydton and Doug Chapman (Robyn) of Red Oak; and his grandchildren, Laura Chapman of Baskerville, Bryan Chapman of Baskerville, Cody Chapman of Red Oak, Meghan Chapman of Youngsville, NC and Shannon Griffith of Prince George. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
The Chapman family asks that any memorial contributions in Mr. Chapmans name be made to Alzheimer's Association at 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
