She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Lee Cornwell and Catherine Cornwell Hege; and her husband William Robert "Billy Bob" Simmons. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathryn Ann Sessler (Willliam) of Manassas and Karen Smith of Catlett; her grandchildren, Adam Smith (Nichole), Helen Williamson, Rachel Sessler and David Sessler; her great grandchildren, Atlas and Samson; her siblings, Helen Mitchell of Dayton and Carl Cornwell of Locust Grove; and her sister-in-law Betty Cornwell of Huntingtown.
