It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Burks Harver of Blackstone, Virginia, who passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Letha Burks and Robert Burks; her significant other Bill Harver (Alvin); and her siblings, Sadie Chambers, Bobbie Dougharty and Roy Burks.
She is survived by: her children, Daphne Harver, Dana Payne and Kenneth Harver (Terry); her grandchildren, Lesha Cawley (Justin), Kris Wynn (Cindy), Wil Harver (Bonnie), Rachel Collins (Barry), Jason Payne (Brett) and Shelly Epperson (Steven); her sister Helen Vincent; and her close friend Hannah. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, a Private Graveside Service will be held at Amelia Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
