It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Carter of Blackstone, Virginia, born in Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on May 19, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles S. Hooper, Jr. and Mary Frances Roberts Hooper of Crewe, Virginia.; and her half-brother Charles S. Hooper, III. She is survived by: her husband Paul W. Carter of Blackstone, Virginia; her brother William H. Hooper (Edythe) of Martinsville, Virginia; and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Brown (Steve) of Charlottesville, Susan Latham of Spartanburg and Judi Bierman (Barry) of Augusta, Georgia.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, three cats.
