He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Doyle and Nina Rice Lewis; and his daughter Sharon Lewis McConville. He is survived by: his wife Janice Lunsford Lewis; his daughters, Linda Loveday (Danny), Andrea Kelly (Jarrett) and Wanda Langford (Ricky); and his son-in-law Greg McConville. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
