He is survived by: his wife Beverly Hammonds of Crewe; his children, Wayne Hammonds and Linda Crawford of Amelia; his grandchildren, Billie Jo Claine of Powhatan, Bobbe Jo Thompson and Shayne Hammonds of Amelia; his brother Lewis Hammonds; his stepchildren, Dorothy Redman of Crewe and Eddie Major, Jr. of Amelia; his stepgrandchildren, Kimberly Major of South Hill, Jessica Snead of Colonial Heights, Chris Snead of Crewe and Matthew Major of Amelia; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Major of South Hill and Shane Graham of Colonial Heights.
Memorials contributions may be made to the Burkeville Volunteer Fire Department.
