She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Allen Akers and Mary Stump Akers; her brothers, Steve, Bob and Elk Akers; and her nephew Todd Akers.
She is survived by: her husband John Henry Smith; her son Leon Smith (Melissa); her grandchildren, Chloeye Ann Smith and Christopher Smith (Rachel) of Austin, TX; her great grandchild Wylder D. Smith of Austin, TX.; her siblings, Rosemary Rutherford (Paul), Wesley Needham (Larry) and Billy Joe (Joyce Akers); and also, Steve and Marilou Akers. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; special friends.
