He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Jordan Risen and Mary Emily Risen (Rice); and his brother Daniel. He is survived by: his sons, Clay (Joanna) and Michael (Meg); his nephew Tim Newton; his grandchildren, Catherine, Talia, Chickie and Elliot; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Chickering and Sharon Chickering. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, alz.org.
