Marie Dillon Bland Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 10, 2024, at the age of 100, Marie Dillon Bland (Blacksburg, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hampton Hobert Dillon and Margie Ruth Albert Dillon; her husband James Walter Bland, Jr.; and her siblings, Margaret Jewel Dillon Croy, Elmer Austin Dillon, William Eugene Dillon and Esley Neil Dillon.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Bland Burrows (Mike) of Wake Forest, NC and James Dillon Bland (Barbara) of Pawleys Island, SC; and her sister-in-law June Hollandsworth of Fairlawn, VA. She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Montgomery County Christmas Store.
