It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marianne Perry Wingo of Blacksburg, Virginia, born in Easley, South Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Jefferson Langston; her husband John Casper Wingo; her siblings, Betty Richbourg (Jim), Langston Perry, Ruth Chrisman (Chuck) and Hazel Bradley (Jim); and her brothers-in-law, Bill Wingo and Ernest Anthony.
She is survived by: her children, Alison Wingo Hesmer of Wilson, NC and Jeff Wingo; her daughter-in-law Dawn Wingo of Purcellville, VA; her grandchildren, Whitney Hesmer of Melbourne, Australia, Lauren Wingo of Herndon, VA and John Cameron Wingo of Raleigh, NC; her sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Anthony of Buffalo, SC and Jeanelle Wingo of Union, SC; and her pet Sweet William. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blacksburg Baptist Church.
