He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe C. Archer, Jr. and Minnie Johnson Archer. He is survived by: his sister Carolyn S. Archer; and his aunt Glenda Sluss of Coeburn, VA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gladeville Presbyterian Church P.O. Box 1709 Wise, VA 24293.
