He was predeceased by: his father George Clay Burnette; and his wife Annie Mae Thacker Burnette. He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Starkey Neely (Steve "Jake"); his siblings, Sylvia Burnette of Houston, TX and Frank Burnette of Chicago, IL; and his close friends, Beverly Berry, Sarah Goins, Donna Adams, Susan Burkhart, Lisa Jones and Sammy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
