He was predeceased by: his father James W. Miller Sr.; his grandson Tobby Taylor; his brother James; and his siblings-in-law, Marjorie Miller and Theodore Dodson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Miller; his children, Deborah M. Taylor (James Thornley) of Bealeton, Richard Miller, Jr. of Strasburg and Steven Miller (Lynn) of Stafford; his stepchildren, John C. Moore and Terri L. Moore of South Carolina; his sister Sadie Dodson of Morrisville; and his grandchildren, Russell, Stacy Taylor, Autumn and Remington Miller. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
