He is survived by: his husband Scott; his niece Pamela Blankenship-Bettis; his daughter Cindy D. Lane (Scott) of Amissville; his sisters, Lois M. Blankenship of Nokesville and Anita S. Carter (Jerry) of Woodstock; his grandsons, Nathan Johnston of Ohio and Jimbo Johnston (Heather) of Nokesville; his great grandchildren, Cara Johnston and Kendall Johnston; and his former wife Shelby J. Compton-King of Amissville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
