He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Briggs Newcomb and Hallie Ferguson Newcomb; and his siblings, Arthur Newcomb (Sonny), Virginia Taylor, Sarah Yeatts, Marie Taylor and Eunice Newcomb.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Stone Newcomb; his daughter Michele Lakey (Richie) of Yanceyville, NC; and his grandson Zachary Lakey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
