He was predeceased by: his father George Elmer Carter Jr.; his stepmother Gertie Moore; and his brothers, Dennis Ashwell and Bill Akins. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Doug Decker (Samantha) and Renee Decker (Mike); his grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Shyann, Caleb, Olivia and Lilian; and his brother Jeff Carter. He is also survived by six stepchildren.
