He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Columbus Bowles and Ina Janes Bowles; his siblings, Andrew Bowles and Elizabeth Bowles; and his significant other Mildred Martin Bowles.
He is survived by: his daughter Carol; his son-in-law Gary Gibson of Snow Creek; his granddaughter Caitlin (Andrew Tester); his great grandchild Delaney of Lynchburg; his son Elder Kenneth Bowles (Karen) of Bassett; his grandsons, Richard Bowles (Monique) of Bassett, Jason Bowles (Alaina) of Bedford and Thomas Bowles of Bassett; his brother Elder Roy (Marjorie Bowles); and also Caroline Gibson of Salem. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
