He was predeceased by: his parents, Malon Myers and Bessie Stultz Myers; his former wife Lois M. Amos Myers; his brother David Lee Myers; and his stepgrandson Justin Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Harrell Myers; his sons, Gary L. Myers (Pam) and Michael D. Myers; his stepson Van Davis (Robin); and his granddaughter Brittany N. Myers.
