She was predeceased by: her husband Larry E. Mays; her parents, John Henry and Margaret Peters; and her brother David Peters. She is survived by: her sons, Neil Mays (Jade) and Harrison Whittaker (Cheyanne); her grandsons, Harrison Whittaker, Jr. and Kamden Hall; her stepgrandsons, Henry Gonzalez, Jr. and Noah Talbert; her great-niece Cassellia Hawkins; and her siblings, Pam, Retta, Suzie, Jean, Chris and Johnny. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
