It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick O'Brian Garrett Sr. (Ashland, Virginia), who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Ella F. Garrett; his daughter Mary Ann Shook; his grandson David Allen Shook; and his parents, James Garrett and Nellie Garrett.

He is survived by: his sons, Patrick "Sporty" Garrett Jr. (Tina) and Michael Garrett (Tina); his siblings, Robert "Bob" Garrett (Peggy), Nancy Crumpler, Tony and Larry; and his pet Tabby. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
