He is survived by: his wife Aleta of Ashland, Virginia; his children, Tina Wilcher of Dallas, Texas, David Wilcher of Sandston, Virginia, Michelle Halpin (Kevin) of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Brian Verburg of Chesterfield, Virginia; and his sisters, Carolyn Thacker (Raymond) of Covington, Virginia, Gayle Ryan (Mickey) and Nita Valiente (Ricky) of Madison Heights, Virginia. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
