He is survived by: his wife Jean Evans Castle; his children, Jennifer Balut (Chris), Stephen Castle (Sheri) and Stephanie Castle; his grandchildren, Sarah Castle, Stephen Castle, Samuel Castle, Ian Balut and Kathryn Balut; and his siblings, Bud Castle (Joan) of Birmingham, AL and Elizabeth Cothern of Walls, MS.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mount Vernon Baptist Church music program.
