She is survived by: her sons, Haywood Clark Emerson Jr. of Atlanta, Robert Marye Emerson (Susan) of Richmond, VA and William Cardwell Emerson (Teresa) of Vicksburg. She is also survived by her youngest son and lifelong friends.
