We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2023, at the age of 93, Anne Staples Hobson of Ashland, Virginia, born in Shenandoah, Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anne Staples Hobson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edgar Staples and Ruth Rothgeb Staples; and her grandparents, Annie L. and Ulysses G. Rothgeb. She is survived by: her spouse Sewell Marshall Hobson, II; her children, Sewall Marshall Hobson, III and Dana Hobson Cummings of Mechanicsville, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Cummings.
The last few years of her life were particularly hard after she developed COVID-19 and pneumonia in late 2020, and was placed in hospice care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or I AM ALS to support the fight to end Alzheimer's, Dementia and ALS.
