James Cooper Hancock Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 17, 2024, at the age of 84, James Cooper Hancock of Appomattox, Virginia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Franklin Hancock; his parents, Eula May Tignor and James Cooper Hancock, Sr.; his daughters, Wendy Hancock and Kimbra H. O'Brien; and his sister Elizabeth "Betty" Baldwin.
He is survived by: his daughter Terri; his son-in-law Tim Willis of Appomattox; his sister Stella R. Carter; his grandchildren, Ashley O. Coleman (Ryan), Blake O'Brien, Tyler Willis (Bethany) and Trevor Willis; and his great grandchildren, Kenleigh Coleman, Trafton Coleman and Parker Willis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Evergreen United Methodist Church, c/o Shirley Jean Baker, 2466 Cedar Tree Rd., Appomattox, VA 24522 Robinson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
