It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilliam Martin of Appomattox, Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lee Martin and William Taft "Billy" Martin; his sister Laura "Dolly" Mayberry (Curtis, Sr.); his granddaughter Christie Martin; his great grandchild Kesslee Biscotti; and his sister-in-law Patsy W. Martin.
He is survived by: his brother William Martin; his children, Dennis Martin (Angel) of Appomattox, David Martin (Lisa) of Appomattox, Susan Davis (Cotton) of Appomattox and Gregory Martin (Dana) of Appomattox; his grandchildren, April Martin, Candi Pollard, Robbie Childress (Jay), Tiffany Vaughan (Tim), Christopher Rowe, Tabitha Lamberth (Stephon), Ashley Drinkard (TJ), Jessica Page (Jake) and Linsay Carter; his niece Darnell Thompson (Gary); his great-nephew Chandler; and his nephew Curtis Mayberry, Jr.. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
