It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Homer Sherlin of Appomattox, Virginia, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred Mayberry Sherlin; his parents, Enoch Wesley Shirlen and Eva Morgan Shirlen; and his siblings, Leonard Shirlen and Betty S. Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his sons, Tommy L. Sherlin (Gail) of Campbell County, Ronny L. Sherlin of Evington and Donny L. Sherlin (Faye) of Spout Spring; his siblings, Jimmy Shirlen of Biscoe, NC, Ruby S. Hall (Ronnie) of Pamplin and Christine S. Smith (Larry) of Morganton, NC.; and his granddaughters, Marcie Mantiply, Melissa Campbell, Crissy Roakes and Kelsey Means. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.
