She was predeceased by: her husband John Thomas Ferguson; her parents, Piercy Callihill Newman and Doshia Unrue Newman; and her siblings, Alma Almond, Julia Edgeworth, Edith McCormick, Terrence Newman, P. C. Newman and John William Newman.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Keith Ferguson (Paula) of North Chesterfield, VA, Rita F. Marshall (Doug) of Appomattox, VA, Sandra F. Ross (Jeff) of Goode, VA and Gloria F. Krauklis (Ron) of Appomattox, VA; her grandchildren, Kevin Ferguson (Shannon) of Raleigh, NC, Megan Vanderherchen (Matt) of Ruther Glen, VA, Adam Marshall (Ashley Woods) of Appomattox, VA and Clay Ross of Goode, VA; and her great grandchildren, Caleb and Daniel Ferguson.
