She is survived by: her husband Ronald Barnett; her son Ron "Bubba"; her daughter-in-law Tammy Barnett; her granddaughters, Hannah (Alexa Barnett) and Appalachia; her brothers, Alex Nippard (Doreen), Garfield Nippard (Ettie) and Wilfred Nippard (Edith); and her sisters-in-law, Sarah Nippard and Beulah Nippard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Appalachia First Baptist Church, Appalachia, Virginia.
