He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Marshall, Sr. and O'Neal Thomas Marshall; his wife Adelle Gilbert Marshall; and his brother Rafus Marshall. He is survived by: his children, Michael Marshall of Washington, DC, Ricky Marshall of Altavista, VA, Carolyn Covington (Connell) of Raleigh, NC and Vanessa Jones (Leroy) of Rustburg, VA.; his siblings, Richard and Gertrude Marshall McCoy of Lynchburg, VA.; his siblings-in-law, Estelle Haskins, Christine Marshall, Betty Venable, Margaret Flood, Mildred Brogden, Eleanor Brogdon, Lewis Gilbert (Johnnie), James Gilbert (King), Charles Gilbert (Charlie) and Conwell Flood; his grandchildren, Denise Covington, Greer Gladney, Justin Covington, Kendall Marshall (Domonique), Julian Marshall and Andrew Covington; his great grandchildren, Trinity, Jaiden, Miracle and Kendall (KJ); his nieces, Cassandra Marshall (Sandy) and Tonya Ligon (Boo); and also Gail Denson (Skinnie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
