He was predeceased by: his parents, King David Nobles and Martha Nobles (Taylor); his wife Mary Frances Nobles (Harper); his daughter Debbie Nobles Shifflett; his grandson Wesley Whitlock; his great grandchild Steven Ivey III; and his siblings, Ned Nobles, Patsy Nobles, Geneva Nobles Waters and Joann Nobles Stahl.
He is survived by: his children, Curtis Neal Nobles (Ashley) of Hedgesville, WV, Wanda Nobles-Clover (Henri) of Alexandria, VA and Jaynie Nobles of Maysville, WV; and his siblings, Everett Nobles of Scotland Neck, NC, Coy Nobles of Rocky Mount, NC and Sylvia Nobles of Fredericksburg, VA..
