He was predeceased by: his sister Cindy Cronkite; and his parents, Donald McCarty and Alice Williams (Eural). He is survived by: his sons, Scott (Ashley) and Craig McCarty (Kristen); his granddaughters, Maddison, Samantha and Caroline; and his siblings-in-law, Greg Hansen (Jean) and Terri Gilbert (Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
