He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mable Taylor Alston; his parent Mariah Louise Alston Pate; and his brothers, Monroe Alston, Franklin Alston, Hampton Alston, Tinker Alston, Charles Pate, Jimmy Pate and Mark Pate.
