He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelene Drummond Hamilton Toppin and Forrest Lee Toppin; his siblings, Wesley Hamilton and Jacqueline Beckett Perkins Poulson; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Poulson and Spencer Ayers.
He is survived by: his sons, Antoine D. Toppin "Sonny Boy" and Anthony Johnson; his siblings, Paul L. Hamilton, Joyce D. Ayers and Cynthia D. Toppin; his sister-in-law Mary Hamilton; his grandchildren, A'Zanie Monae Johnson and A'Milynn Mayell Snead (Anthony); his goddaughter Ta'Shaelah Kellam "Lil Rat"; and his godmother Rev. Queen Ester Snell. He is also survived by nephews and nieces that affectionately called him "Unc," cousins, and friends.
