He was predeceased by: his parents, Queen Esther Holden and Charles Webster Jones; his stepparents, Edward Holden and Rosetta Glover Jones; his siblings, Mary Lou Rice, Mary Magdalene Parker, Lily Faye, Rose M. Bell, Clarence Goodwin Jr., James Robert and Edward Joyce Glover; and his great grandchildren, Kayla and Isiah.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Rice; his children, Maxine Stafford, Queenie Rice (Curtis), Annette Smith (Everette) and Kevin Rice (Candi); his grandchildren, Calissa Austin, Kevon Rice (Kimberly), Shaketta Austin, Macavis Rice, Jakava Wallop, Kandace Rice, Autumn Rice and Kameron Rice; his siblings, Bobby Rice (Phyllis), Willie Godwin, Vincent Cornelius Pratt, Hattie Myers, Karen Myers, Ruby Hudson, Thomas W. Jones, Sam E. Jones, Fidencia Sabrina James, Charles P Bellamy, Charles D. Bellamy (Carol) and Dennis Session; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Crosby (Ernestine), Dorsey Lee Crosby and Johnny Dorsey. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
