She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sutton and Minnie E. Davis; and her children, Albert Hunt and Doris Lowenthal. She is survived by: her husband Martin L. Knox; her sons, George Sample (Betty) and Harvey Bull (Tiara); her siblings, Minnie White (Michael), Cecil Turner (Arneater), Sammie Davis (Karen), Joseph Davis and Noah Henry Davis (Addie); her siblings-in-law, Grace Holland, Elizabeth Jones (Johnny), Faye Knox, Lawrence Douglas (Doris) and Ernest Douglas (Nannie Lou); and her close friends, IraVon Ashby-Hope, Dawn McGuire and Wilford Gray. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; two great, great-grandchildren.
